Alameda Health System (AHS) HealthPATH program interns Javier Velasquez Lopez and Nai Saechao were on KTVU morning news along with HealthPATH program manager Joseph Peters to talk about their experience learning about careers in the health care field. HealthPATH provides education and training opportunities to young people in the Alameda County communities that are most impacted by health inequities.  It is just one example of how AHS invests in our community and cultivates a pipeline of the health care workers who reflect the diversity of the community we serve.

AHS is accepting applications to join the next cohort of Health Excellence & Academic Leadership (HEAL) interns, a HealthPATH program for high school students, through Aug. 31, 2023. Oakland high schoolers are encouraged to apply!
